Look Kids, a Picasso!!

I'm in Salt Lake City visiting family and I just took the kids to this exhibit--Monet To Picasso at the University of Utah. It was amazing. If you live anywhere near Salt Lake, go see it. If this exhibit travels to your city, go see it. It's wonderful!

They have one full room of Picasso's. My son wanted me to calculate the total value of all the paintings in the room. (He's a real money guy.) Paintings in the Picasso room? Millions and millions probably. Getting to take my kids to see them? Priceless. (Okay, it cost us $35.00 to get in plus $25 for the lovely exhibit catalogue, but it was totally worth it.)

This painting was my absolute favorite. It is absolutely luminous. The colors are so delicious I wanted to lick the canvas. :)

I was also so excited to see this Modigliani. I've always been a fan of his and I've always loved this lady in particular!! When I saw this painting from across the room it was like seeing an old friend.

Okay, just one more. This one is a little study by Seurat. It's quite small, probably one of the smallest in the exhibit. But it's just so lovely!
